The Resources Committee considered SENATE BILL NO. 176 "An                                                                      
Act exempting sand and gravel and marketable earth mining                                                                       
operations from the mining license tax; and providing for an effective                                                          
date" and recommended it be replaced with                                                                                       
                                                                                                                                
          CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 176(RES) "An Act                                                                               
          exempting quarry rock, sand and gravel, and                                                                           
          marketable earth mining operations from the mining                                                                    
          license tax; and providing for an effective date."
